The Greater London Authority (GLA), working alongside the Association of Colleges, commissioned TVOX to capture the 2026 Greater London Skills Competition Awards, a celebration of the winners from 14 skills competitions held across London colleges during Love Our Colleges week.

With competitions spanning sectors from cyber security and engineering to bricklaying, hairdressing and hospitality, the GLA needed content that could showcase the breadth of London's technical talent while telling a clear, human story: why skills competitions matter, and how they open doors to good jobs and social mobility across the capital. The brief called for a 3–5 minute promotional film combining stakeholder and previous-winner interviews with dynamic footage from competition locations, plus social media cut-downs and a set of press-ready stills, all to be delivered in time for the awards ceremony at City Hall on 9 March.

TVOX ran the project through a five-phase model built for a tight, multi-site turnaround. Following kick-off and pre-production planning with the GLA and AoC, confirming locations, interview prompts and contributor consent, our crews filmed across selected competition sites between the 2nd and the 4th of March, capturing stakeholder and previous-winner interviews alongside observational footage of competitors at work in their trades.

A dedicated producer coordinated schedules and contributors throughout, with agile, small crews able to cover multiple locations in parallel to keep the shoot on schedule. In post-production, the footage was cut into the full promotional film, a 60 to 90 second social edit and a 90-second competition montage, all with subtitles and GLA branding applied.

Alongside the films, TVOX delivered a set of high-quality stills from across the competitions for press, web and social use. Final files were delivered via ShareFile and YouTube ahead of the 9 March ceremony, with raw footage handed over at the close of the contract.
